Moreover, we inform you that this Privacy Policy has been developed in accordance with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and to the free movement of such data, and other applicable regulations, to guarantee at all times the fundamental right to data protection.

The data that you provide us as a web user and/or that are collected through possible forms of the OEI are aimed at maintaining the relationship you have or require with our organization. The purpose of the Policy is to inform the holders of personal data, for which information is being collected, the specific processing of their data, the purposes of the processing, contact information to exercise the rights that assist them, the terms of preservation of information, and the security measures, among other things.

Data processing, purpose, and lawfulness

The personal data that could be collected directly from the interested party will be incorporated into the corresponding treatment activity owned by the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI).

The data-processing activities carried out by the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), as well as the purposes for which they were obtained, are contained in its Record of Data-Processing Activities.

The personal data requested will be only those strictly necessary to identify and address the request made by the data owner. The specific purposes, for which each item of information is carried out, are included in the information clauses contained in each one of the forms and/or means of data collection (web forms, paper forms).

This information will be treated confidentially, loyally, lawfully, and transparently as regard the relationship with the interested party. The personal data will be collected for explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a way incompatible with those purposes.

The data collected will be adequate, relevant, and limited to what is necessary in line with the purposes for which they will be processed. The data will be accurate and, if necessary, updated, and all reasonable measures will be taken to remove or correct, without delay, personal data that are inaccurate with respect to the purposes for which they are processed.

Why do we process your personal data?

To fulfill our mission of international cooperation through projects for cooperation among Ibero-American countries in the field of education, science, technology, and culture in the context of integral development, democracy, and regional integration, we process the data for the following purposes:

• To send information and newsletters on the activity of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) via SMS, telephone, mail, e-mail, even when our relationship has ended unless otherwise stated by the person concerned.
• To invite to ceremonies or events organized by the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI).
• To carry out satisfaction surveys.
• To register suppliers/consultants/teachers that will be able to provide services to the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI).
• To collect questions or doubts about the activities of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI).
• To enroll to courses managed by the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI).

Legitimate basis of the data processing

The processing of your personal data related to the maintenance of your relationship with the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI)as a supplier/participant is legitimized when necessary to comply with the contractual obligations arising from that relationship. The processing of your personal data to send information on activities, newsletters, holding of events of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) in which you have participated falls within the ambit of a legitimate interest of our organization or of your consent with the data collection form and the informative legal clause included in it.

Assignment to third parties and Storage of data

Your personal data in general will not be transferred to any type of organization, neither public nor private, being under the full responsibility of the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI), except in cases of legal obligation or in the cases deriving from the data processing where you participate:

• Public Administrations: to ensure compliance with the legal obligations
• Project Funders or Developers
• International offices of the OEI

Similarly, we inform you that the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) will keep the data while you use our services and do not request their cancellation, but they will be subsequently blocked by the minimum required by current legislation and during the statutory periods of limitation that may be applicable. In this case, they will be processed for the sole purpose of proving the compliance with our legal or contractual obligations. After the expiration of these limitation periods, your data will be deleted.

International Transfers of Data

The Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) may send your data outside the European Economic Area to third-party suppliers that are located outside the European Economic Area in countries that offer an adequate level of protection with companies that are members of the Privacy Shield. In any case, the OEI have signed contracts with these companies that safeguard the security of personal data in the terms established within the European regulations. Moreover, contractual clauses have been signed with the other OEI's international offices in accordance with the standard contract terms established by the European Commission.

What rights do you have?

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, opposition, portability, and limitation of the processing of your data by contacting the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) at Calle Bravo Murillo, 38. 28015. Madrid or at protecciondatos@oei.es, with a copy of your ID proving properly your identity. In any situation, you have the right to file a claim with the Spanish Agency for Data Protection (AEPD).

The acceptance of this Policy implies that the user has been informed in a clear and complete way about the use of data storage and recovery devices (cookies) as well as that the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) has the user's consent for the use of them in the terms of the article 22 of the Law 34/2002, as of July 11, of Services of the Information Society and Electronic Commerce (LSSI).
